MY REVIEW FOR THE BOYS SEASON 4

 THE BOYS SEASON 4

MY REVIEW(SPOILERS)

First of all, I want to say I absolutely loved the hell out of this season. It wasn't astonishing and impactful with storytelling like Season Three, but it had some positives. The negatives would come in as well.

POSITIVES

A-TRAIN

I really loved his character arc. Everywhere he turned or tried to hide, I was trembling in my seat, thinking Homelander could be hiding behind the door or in a dark corner watching. From season One, I disliked him because he was narcissistic and money-thirsty (my new phrase). In season three, his storyline with his older brother/coach, Nathan, made me sympathize with him and love him. In this season, he took me by surprise. His willingness to change and save people made me an A-Train fan. His separation from Nathan gave him the sign that he needed to make that change. I really hope he survives.

HOMELANDER'S DARK PAST

In Season One, though we had tiny references and glimpses into his past, Homelander is one character we got to learn a lot about here. There's an episode where he travels back to the lab he had been experimented on by those old, crooked scientists. Man, he tortured the hell out of those people and murdered them. We got to see a darker side to Homelander and I loved that. It was amazingly disturbing.

THE DEEP & NOIR II(BROS!)

He might be the most useless out of the Earth's Mightiest Heroes (Villains), but The Deep in this season cracked me up. He was so hilarious especially, the new Black Noir. They both banged Sister Sage, except that he was so dumb Sage had to lobotomize herself to sleep with him. DOPE! It had me tearing up.

THE SUPE SHAPESHIFTER

This villain came out of nowhere and brought back the tension and stakes that was lacking in the first six episodes. I loved that we don't know the real identity of the Supe Shapeshifter and what bewildered me was Erin Mortriary's portrayal of the Shifter. Damn, she was so frickin' good. I loved the intense moments between Starlight and the Shifter, who took the hero's form. Her acting range was astounding, and I was entertained.

HOMELANDER & RYAN

I was praying that Becca's son wouldn't end up becoming Brightburn. In the end, guess what? He might not have fully snapped, but he was just lost. His unhealthy relationship with his psychopathic father kept me on edge. There were moments I believed Homelander would physically abuse his kid. But that's how it always feels during any scene with The Homelander.

THE END PREPARING FOR THE ENDGAME

What a season finale. After thwarting the Shifter's assassination attempt on President Singer, the Boys had to go separate ways and get new passports and identities to hide. Butcher kills Neuman, foiling their plan and indirectly making Homelander have power over the government. Oh boy, the next season is going to be The Boys: Endgame. We see the Boys getting apprehended by all the Supes who are free from the law. And Kimiko finally finds her voice again. What a climax.

NEGATIVES

The POLITICS, Frenchie's storyline with What's-his-name-again, STARLIGHT was written as kind of self-centered and not empathic toward Hughie, the tension felt reduced, some plot holes, and of course, No Soldier Boy! (Just Kidding) the Death of Neuman, which I didn't like. (My opinion) She was so Hot! I didn't expect her to get killed off. Such a shame.

In other news, My Book Trailer for my next upcoming project YOU'RE NOT SAFE, will be out next week. It's the first book of the Safe Thrillogy, a tale about best friends, and the mystery of who really is the manipulative psychopath.
